Small-town living is thriving in Conway, South Carolina. But it’s not just the Friday night sports events that are getting rave reviews. It’s also Salon 24, a successful beauty business with a reputation for delivering extraordinary service and exceptional results.
Owners Charity Carroll and Tamara Hughes opened Salon 24 in the spring of 2016 with a mission to achieve healthy and happy hair for each of their clients. And each member of their team brings her impressive talent and unique personality to the salon to ensure that mission is fulfilled. Hypnotizing highlights, brilliant Brazilian blowouts and mesmerizing massages are well-known services in this salon of five stylists and a massage therapist.
Whether it’s within the salon or on social media, it’s Salon 24’s desire to offer superior service while recommending the best hair-care products for their clients. They have a designated space for showcasing their work, complete with special lighting, a backdrop and more to make their work shine via social media. “It’s not just something you go out and try to do. You have to sit down and work together as a team to make social media profitable,” Tamara says.
But posting their work is just the beginning. Salon 24 also uses social media as a retail tool to promote salon events. Making smart use of their business planning skills is key if events like the CosmoProf Five-Day Curling Iron Sale are going to be successful. For this sale, they ordered a few irons ahead of the sale and created a five-minute Facebook video highlighting each product’s features and benefits. By planning ahead and taking advantage of their social media expertise, they pre-sold almost 30 irons!
